Allowing our loved ones to pursue goals, travel, and experiences outside of their relationship with us without limiting them with our fears that their growth will cause us to lose them permanently. Sometimes the path away from us does not lead them back to the same role they served in our lives previously, and that’s ok. Choice is a crucial ingredient in a healthy relationship.
